REPAIR POLICY

Sentient Repair Policy:

At Sentient, we are dedicated to sustainable fashion through the creation of high-quality, ethically produced plant-based leather handbags and accessories. Our commitment extends beyond the point of sale. This policy is designed to ensure that every Sentient product endures in style and function, reflecting our ethos of sustainability and lasting value. We believe in maximizing the lifecycle of each product, thereby reducing waste and promoting responsible consumption.

Eligibility and Coverage:

  • Imperfections and Flaws: Products with flaws or imperfections are eligible for free repairs within one year from the date of purchase, subject to the availability of appropriate plant-based materials and components.
  • Other Damages: Repairs for damages not covered under "Imperfections and Flaws" will be charged to the client. These include but are not limited to wear and tear, accidental damage, and damage from misuse. The repair fee may start from USD 40, depending on the type of repair required.

Repair Fees:

  • Repairs covered under warranty for flaws and imperfections are conducted free of charge.
  • For all other repairs, costs are assessed based on the nature of the damage and required repairs, with a starting fee of USD 40.

Shipping Fees:

  • Sentient will cover shipping costs for items sent for repair due to flaws or imperfections.
  • Clients are responsible for shipping costs for all other repairs.

Repair Time:

  • Repair time begins at three weeks and may vary depending on the complexity of the repair and availability of materials.

Warranty Period:

  • Products are covered by a repair warranty for one year from the purchase date. Coverage for non-imperfection related repairs extends indefinitely, though repair fees apply.

Conditions:

  • If no suitable plant-based materials or components are available, Sentient will offer the client an alternative option, which may vary in texture, color, and type of material. The client has the right to accept or refuse the repair with the proposed materials. If refused, Sentient will not be responsible for the flaw or imperfection or any other kind of damage, and will not be obligated to repair, replace, or compensate the client.
  • Sentient reserves the right to refuse repairs based on the assessment of damage, availability of materials, or if the product is deemed irreparable.

  1. Name and contact information. 
  2. Place and date of purchase: provide the ticket, receipt or purchased confirmation. 
  3. Photos of the handbag or accessory.
  4. Product name and brief description of the damage and requested repairment. 
  5. Your address (city and country).
