Our signature handbag, the PANTHERA Tote is inspired by the beautiful and rare Mexican Jaguar. We donate 10% of each purchase to fund and support its conservation and that of its natural habitat in the north of Mexico. Elegant and functional, the PANTHERA is carefully designed and constructed to exacting standards to be a valuable companion to your life. This lightweight tote incorporates a zipper closure and interior pocket, as well as a top handle and a crossbody strap to be worn however you choose. It is large enough to comfortably hold an iPad and your daily essentials.

Made from bio-based cactus leather to avoid exploiting animals for fashion.

Cactus leather is a more sustainable and ethical plant-derived alternative material to animal leather. It is vegan certified, meaning it does not contain animal ingredients of any kind.

It is made with organic cacti grown in the state of Zacatecas Mexico through responsible agricultural practices that respect the environment, and promote the health and survival of native flora and fauna.

The cactus leather used to craft the Panthera Tote is made up of 30% cactus fiber and 70 % Bio PU. It is free from toxic chemicals, phthalates, and PVC.
PU lining, free from phthalates, heavy metals and lead. Breathable and absorbent.
Handmade handle.
Adjustable shoulder strap.
Recyclable premium zip fastening along top, produced with solar energy.
Punctuated by recyclable hand-finished hardware.
Weighs approximately .5 kg or 1.1 lbs
Comes with a dust bag made out of untreated and unbleached locally sourced cotton.
Our packaging is made out of recycled and recyclable materials.

CARE GUIDE

For spills such as beer, wine, juices, soft drinks, liquor, coffee, tea or chocolate, simply clean the stain with a solution of mild liquid shampoo. Rinse thoroughly with a cloth soaked in water to remove excess, and dry with a white cotton cloth. We highly recommend immediately cleaning any spill in order to avoid staining.

RETURN & EXCHANGES

Our wish is for our customers to love and enjoy their purchase! SENTIENT will accept exchanges and returns of all products within 14 calendar days after receiving the order. The piece must be undamaged and in "like new" condition.

In the case of exchanges and returns, we will gladly cover the shipping cost for orders placed in Mexico. For international orders, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the product. Please use the original packaging for any returns and exchanges, and make sure to return along with each component included in the package, including the dustbag and any additional pieces; otherwise, we will not be able to accept the return.

The Perfect Bag

Love this tote! It's the perfect size for a day in the city or a night out! It fits the essentials + water bottle, sunglasses, book, etc and the inside pockets help to not lose small items. It's great dressed up or casual, I receive compliments on it frequently. I really appreciate that there is both a shoulder strap and a handle which makes it more versatile.

MANUFACTURING

The PANTHERA Collection is produced in a workshop in the City of Guadalajara, Mexico that has specialized in the production of handbags and other accessories for more than 25 years. The first part of the production process relates to sampling and patterns, which brings the product to life. The production lies in the hands of a team of less than seven people, led by Pedro and Óscar, the production managers. The production of this handbag is highly dependent on the skills and knowledge of local artisans and most of the production processes are handmade.

At the moment we are not able to ensure a production powered by renewable and clean energy. It is a trade-off that we accept in order to produce in a family-owned local workshop that promotes decent work and observes living wages for all employees, addressing one of our fundamental values.

OUR COMMITMENT

Our PANTHERA Collection has been created in partnership with Naturalia, a Mexican environmental non-profit organization that has created a network of natural reserves in northern Mexico to protect natural habitats and ensure the survival of the northern Mexican jaguar.

Through your purchases, SENTIENT can continue supporting Naturalia in order to conserve Mexico’s and the world’s natural strongholds in order to mitigate climate change, guarantee the survival of species in risk of extinction, ensure fresh water and air, among other benefits that ecosystems provide us with.
